The Urban Environment

I found this week's assignment rather difficult. I am ussed to shooting in a non-urban environment. It took me a while to adjust my viewing lens; but once I got going, I couldn't stop. I took a 2 mile walk around my town on Monday--it was cold and cloudy, but I had planned to go, so I did. It was strange to photograph on such a dark day; I was afraid my pictures would come out, "Blah!" But I was suprised at how much expression they have (of course Picasa helped alot). In addition to the pictures I post here, I have several others on my fotothing, www.fotothing.com/drivers please take a look and tell me what you think.

Hi Dan,

Often times, it is only when we actually take ourselves out shooting, does the inspiration finally come and we get to see new things we couldn't have anticipated!

I like the picture of the grave yard, the way you captured the yard through the the gates is really good. :)
