Not quite Ansel Adams, but it was bloody cold outside at the beach, I wish I had been able to stay out for longer and wander around for a bit.

The top one of the shells has interesting texture, but they got "blown Out" a bit... perhaps you editited it that way in Picasa?
The bottom one has a nice line of water in contrast to the sand.
